FUNSTON, Sherry - It is with great sorrow that we announce the sudden passing of Sherry Elizabeth Funston, aged 77, on December 18, 2023, the beloved daughter of David and Marion Funston.
Sherry is survived by her sisters, Susan Funston and Jane (Funston) Gladwin; her nieces, Sherry Louise Funston-Miles and Deborah (Funston) Arnal; and nephews, David and Derick Funston.
Sherry was predeceased by her brother, Rick Funston. She also leaves behind many beloved friends.
Sherry worked as Executive Director of Squash Ontario for many years and after retirement became a volunteer at the Odette Cancer Centre, Sunnybrook Hospital.
She was a strong, independent woman who worked tirelessly to help her family and friends always.
She will be sorely missed. A private funeral service will be held and a celebration of life will follow at a later date.
In Sherry's memory, donations may be made to the Multiple Sclerosis Society of Ontario.
