ERNST, John Ernst - Passed away peacefully, on January 24, 2024, at the age of 87, at Sunnybrook Hospital.
He is deeply missed by his partner, Rosalind Fortier; his beloved dog, Harry; and his children, Kevin (Connie), Janine, Larry (Roma), David, Christine (Lawrence) and Jill (Chris).
Fondly remembered by his grandchildren, Robert, Danielle, Emma, Stephanie, Jonah, Philip, Lily, Malcolm, Alice and Evan.
John had a successful career in commercial real estate spanning more than 50 years.
A lover of travel, he enjoyed sunny vacations and touring Europe. John enjoyed playing golf and recounting the story of his hole-in-one.
On weekend afternoons, he would watch golf and nap, though he would deny the nap. John enjoyed time on the lake boating, fishing, and barbequing with a beer.
Over the years, John shared many amazing stories and would surprise you with one you hadn't heard before. We'll miss that the most.
