DOLAN, Robert   -  Robert died after an eventful, productive life and following a lengthy illness with dementia.

 

Bob had a peaceful end at Carefree Lodge in Toronto, with his family by his side.

He was predeceased by his siblings, Jack, Charlotte (Canavan) and Mary Rose (Desmond) and is survived by his loving wife, Elizabeth and daughter, Ann; his brothers and sisters-in-law, Bill (Cathie), Joseph (Shirley) and John Newton and David Whall, as well as numerous beloved nieces and nephews in both the United States and Canada.

 

Bob's life was a testament to his love of learning and scholarship as witnessed by over 30 years of teaching and administration at York University.

 

Bob and Liz both enjoyed music, theatre, travel, good food and wine and sharing happy times with family and friends.

 

Bob had the good fortune of receiving superb care from Dr. Sandra Black, participating as a subject of her research into dementia at Sunnybrook Hospital, and from the loving care provided by the dedicated staff of Carefree Lodge.

 

A celebration of Bob's life will be held at a later date.
