Greenberg EtiGREENBERG, Eti  -  In Loving Memory Eti Greenberg died peacefully on April 9, 2024, at Kensington Hospice in Toronto.

She is survived by her loving family, husband, Ken Greenberg; daughters, Eedit Bareket and Mika Bareket and her partner, Mike Bott; sisters, Sarah Amir and Henya Atzmon; nephews, Zohar and Aviv; nieces, Hadas and Sharon; grandchildren, Dar, Kallee, Carmelle; stepdaughter, Anna Lewinberg (Adam); stepson, Paul Greenberg (Ayako); and step-grandchildren, Martin, Isaac, Hana, and Sara, and many devoted friends.

Eti was born in Kibbutz Beit Oren on Mount Carmel near Haifa, Israel on August 5, 1944 to parents, Mottel and Hannah Belotzerkovsky Throughout her life, Eti also lived in New York City, France, outside Geneva and Jerusalem before settling in Toronto.

Eti adored the city she called home for the last five decades and the neighbourhood she had a big hand in shaping.

She had a passion for exploring Toronto on foot and on the signature bright-red Schwinn tandem bike she rode with husband, Ken. Her most recent contribution to the city was a book she co-authored with Ken called Exploring Toronto.

Eti's career in Toronto included managing the Euclid Theatre, acting as an art dealer for Israeli conceptual artists, and working for two Toronto city councillors.

She also practiced as a shiatsu and acupuncture therapist and was a popular Tai Chi instructor. Eti's family is deeply grateful for the dedication and unbelievable support of her doctors, Dr. Samir Sinha, Dr. Batya Grundland and Dr. Ciara Whelan; and caregivers, Lhachoe, Tae, Ligia, Neeta, Etsepatos, Molly, and Lidet.

Eti loved connecting people, pushing boundaries and she will be deeply missed for her spirited opinions, humour, laughter, and zest for life.

In honour of Eti, please consider donating to the Geriatrics Program at Sinai Health in Toronto.
