WALMARK, Frances  - Her family is so blessed to have had Frances, the most caring, loving, and supportive wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother in a life that spanned 95 years.

Mom always credited her own mother for the wonderful childhood she had growing up in Sioux Lookout, Ontario. Inspiring her to live her life with purpose and generosity to others.

Meeting Fred Walmark when she was a nursing student during 1942, led to their marriage in 1944. A special marriage and a life together that would last for 54 years. Mom chose to be grateful for their life together, focusing on what she had been lucky enough to have had with Dad. This has been an inspiration for the family at this very difficult time.

Mother of 4 children, as well as being a career nurse, was no easy feat but she just seemed to give her all to both and it worked. An extremely well respected head nurse of many years at Queensway Hospital, to Mom, family was all. Her children Judy, John and Janis brought into her life 7 grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren with daughter Marilyn adding lots of four legged ones. Once retired she kept busy with volunteer activities such as the MS Society and Cawthra Seniors. Mom believed a friendship is like a garden, if you don't cultivate it, it doesn't thrive.

Frances leaves a legacy, Judy Walkden, her daughter Krista and husband Josh Cauz, great-grandsons Graydon and Elliott. Daughter Lisa and her husband Chris Dunn, great-granddaughters Samantha and Gemma. John Walmark and his wife Pam, granddaughter Jennifer and husband Greg Hillier, great-granddaughters Emma and Ava. Granddaughter Karyn and husband Kevin Pedersen. Janis and her husband Jim Murray, grandson Tim and wife Sarah, great-grandchildren Olivia and Callum. Grandson Jason and wife Lori, great-grandchildren Lyla Grace and Harrison. Grandson Fraser and wife Dana, great grandson Ethan and great-granddaughters Amber and Alyshia. Marilyn and husband Bob Carey.

Cremation will take place presently with a memorial to be announced at a future time and place. Donations to the MS Society or The SickKids Foundation are welcomed.
