GODEFROY, Evellyn 'Lynne' Louise (nee McGruder) - "I sought the LORD, and he heard me, and delivered me from all my fears." Psalm 34:4. On Saturday, February 24, 2018 with her family by her side, Lynne a.k.a. "Scooter" passed away peacefully after a short courageous battle with lung cancer.
Beloved wife of Hugh, proud mother of Suzanne, Leanne (Robert Armstrong) and Robin (Michael Reid), loving Grandmother to Joshua, Noah, Sarah, Abigail and Christian, sister to David (McGruder) and sister-in-law to Margaret Godefroy, proud Aunt to her wonderful nieces and nephews.
Lynne touched the lives of many people with her beautiful smile and compassionate ways.
She loved opening her doors to family and friends, sharing her kindness and easy going spirit.
She had a great passion for gardening, spreading footprints in the sand along ocean shores and spending many great summers in the 'County'. She will be forever in our hearts.
A Celebration of Lynne's Life will be held on Sunday, March 4, 2018 from 2-5 p.m. at the Meeting House, 2700 Bristol Circle, Oakville (in the Commons Room, West Entrance).
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Canadian Cancer Society or to the Meeting House.
