Cashmore FredaCASHMORE, Freda Jessie Leone (nee GREEN)  - It is with heartfelt sadness that the family of Freda Cashmore announces her peaceful passing on May 26, 2018 at the age of 105.

After a joyful and productive life, our brilliant Mum, Grandma and Great-Grandma, Freda, has left us to carry on her legacy.

Predeceased by Rupert, her devoted husband of 68 years

She is survived by her three children: Jay (Laurie), Andrea Sparks (Murray, deceased), Joanne Marchyshyn (Marty), as well as 10 grandchildren; Jennifer Victoriano (Frank), Paul Cashmore (Cathy), Amy Buchanan (Josh), Drew Cashmore (Jenny), Chris Cashmore, Jeannine McIlmoyle (Craig), Adam Sparks (Kelly), Jamie Sparks (Kathy), Michael Marchyshyn (Tiffany), Erin Grbavac (Dennis) and 17 great-grandchildren.

Mum was born April 26, 1913 in Flore, Northamptonshire, England to Jessie Masters Green and Frederick Green.

Graduating from London University with an education degree, she taught in England. At 21, Freda met Rupert. They married and settled in Oxford in 1939, where Freda found becoming a housewife challenging.

Both Jay (Jeremy) and Andrea were born in Oxford. After World War II, they moved to Northern Ireland, where Joanne was born. In 1952 they moved to Canada when Rupert was hired to work on the Avro Arrow.

An intelligent, determined woman, you were a force to be reckoned with.

We would like to thank everyone at Amica Erin Mills for their excellent care, especially the 2nd floor nursing staff.

Respecting Freda's wishes, the family is having a private celebration of her life.
