TAYLOR, Stanley Brigden  - of St. Thomas Passed away peacefully at the St. Thomas Elgin General Hospital on Tuesday, June 5, 2018 in his 86th year.

Beloved husband of the late Donna Taylor (nee Watson) (2005).

Stanley is survived by his children Leslie McClure of St. Thomas, Wayne Taylor of Burlington and Scott Taylor of St. Thomas; by his grandchildren Heather McClure (Matt Fox), Sarah McClure and her children Athena and Walter, James McClure and Andrew Taylor; by his sisters Dianne Taylor (Walterhouse, Gagon) and Joan Taylor-Lennox; and by his many nieces and nephews.

Predeceased by his sister Merle Jeffery. Stanley was born in Toronto to the late Frank and Ethel Taylor. He was a graduate of Ryerson University, beginning his career as a morning Disc Jockey at CHLO St. Thomas in 1954, where he met Donna. Together they raised their family while living in America and returning home to Canada in 1976.

Stan retired in St. Thomas in 1995 where he kept active by achieving a Toast Master-Bronze Level, founder of the St. Thomas Lions Blind Bowling Club, Past President of the St. Thomas Seniors Centre, and a strong advocate with the Accessibility Awareness/Thumbs Up Program. Throughout his life Stan enjoyed acting in both amateur and professional theatre. Cremation has taken place.

Visitation will be held at the Shawn Jackson Funeral Home, 31 Elgin Street, St. Thomas, on Monday, June 18, 2018 from 11:00 a.m. - 1:30 p.m., where a memorial service to celebrate Stan's life will be held in the chapel at 1:30 p.m. A private interment of ashes will take place on a later date.

If desired, donations to the St. Thomas Public Library (large print books) or Inn Out of the Cold would be appreciated.
