McDOWELL, Joan - Age 89 of Toronto, ON passed away peacefully in Gravenhurst, ON on June 30, 2018.
An avid volunteer and 55-year member of the Girl Guides of Canada, Joan helped many young women fulfill their potential through guiding.
A world traveler and good friend to all, Joan is sorely missed.
Joan is survived by her son, Brian McDowell and her two daughters, Anne Haugh and Jill McDowell.
A Celebration of her Life will be held at Trinity Presbyterian Church, Bayview and 401, North York, on July 18 at 1 p.m. Interment to follow.
