HARVEY, Hendrina (Diane) - February 22, 1954 - June 14, 2018
I first met Diane in September 1973 when we entered the same nursing school.
We quickly became best friends and remained so for almost 45 years. Our bond became more like sisters, sharing in each others good and bad times.
Although we weren't able to visit each other on a frequent basis, we talked on the phone, sometimes for hours.
Diane was intense with her feelings toward friends and if you were her friend it was for life.
She was an honest and caring person who was able to confront anyone who was dishonest or mean and tell them exactly how she felt which was a characteristic I admired.
I also admired her dedication, as a single mother, in raising her two sons Dave and Alex.
They are both decent and caring young men.
Diane also faced her illness with strength and hope and felt that whatever happened she was in the Lord's hands.
I never got to say goodbye to Diane.
When I visited her in the hospital she was too sick to interact with me.
I miss our long talks over the phone about anything and everything. I miss my friend.
You'll always be in my thoughts. Love you, Lynda.
