McLEAN, Craig Francis  - Peacefully at London, Ontario, on July 12, 2018, in his 68th year.

Beloved husband of Jayne (Pitts) McLean.

Brother of Mary Holloway (Kevin).

Born in Thunder Bay where he attended elementary and high school, Craig was further educated at Queen's University in Kingston and at the Western University Law School.

Craig practised with two London law firms before he embarked on a solo career, building a reputation as a successful criminal lawyer. He was a well known and well liked figure in the Southwestern Ontario legal community - much loved by his family and friends and much admired by his colleagues and clients in a law practice that spanned more than four decades.

Craig had an enduring love of nature and travelled widely.

He was an avid reader, relished a good debate especially on history and world issues and appreciated music of all types. He was a friend to animals and loved his cats. In his youth he worked as a lifeguard/swimming instructor and later became a master diver.

The family wishes to extend its gratitude to the doctors and staff in the Palliative Care Wards of Victoria Hospital and Parkwood Institute London for their comfort and support. Cremation has already taken place with the interment service to be held at St. Peter's Cemetery, 806 Victoria Street, London, ON, on Monday, July 30, 2018 at 12 noon.

A gathering to celebrate Craig's life will be held on Monday, July 30, 2018 at 4 p.m. at Chaucer's Pub, 122 Carling St., in downtown London, a favourite location where he would often relax with friends.

Memorial donations to the World Wildlife Fund (www.wwf.ca) or London Lawyers Feed the Hungry (http://lawyersfeedthehungry.ca/london.html).
