BERNDT, Richard "Dick" C. - Dick passed away peacefully January 23, 2021, at home in Orillia.
He was surrounded by the love of family and friends.
He is survived by Joan his best friend and loving wife of 59 years; children Caitlin and Christian (Kellie); and grandchildren Jonas, Nora, and Hunter.
Dick had a successful and passionate career in advertising as a media director and running Berndt Media.
Dick volunteered with the National Advertising Benevolent Society, AD and Sales club, Canadian Advertising Research Foundation, Beavers, Northern High School, Mohawk College, Epilepsy Ontario, and Washago Community Centre.

Suddenly but peacefully passed away from a stroke at Grand River Hospital, Kitchener.
Loving husband of Kathleen (Yates).
My five children: Bruce and Jennifer (mother Jane Hutcheson Gardner) and Tara Sawchuk (Daniel), Kristine (Evan) and Laura (Ross).
The apple of his eye grandson James Bruce (born June 2018) and three granddaughters - Angelique, Gwendolyn and Henrietta.
He is also survived by his mother-in-law Marlene Yates.

SCAINI, Assunta (Susie) - Assunta (Susie) Scaini, daughter of the late Francesco and Giuseppina Scaini, was born on September 1, 1942 in Gradiscutta di Varmo, Friuli, Italy.
She leaves behind her siblings, Anita, Catherine, Armand and the late Lino; their spouses; 7 nieces and nephews; 11 great-nieces and nephews; and many friends.
She passed away on Saturday, January 23, 2020, at Orillia Soldiers' Memorial Hospital.
She attended Teacher's College in 1965 and taught at a few elementary schools in Toronto.
She obtained her BA at the University of Toronto in 1972.

UNGER, Fredrick (Fred) William - October 23, 1940 – Lanigan, Saskatchewan January 23, 2021 –
Rocky View County, Alberta Fred Unger, beloved husband of Jane Unger (nee Fraser) of Rocky View County, AB, passed away on Saturday, January 23, 2021, at the age of 80 years.
Fred graduated from the University of Alberta with Masters in Electrical Engineering.
He worked in Biomedical Engineering in Toronto at various health care facilities including Women's College, Mt. Sinai and Sick Children's hospitals.
Besides his loving wife, Jane, Fred is survived by his son Greg Unger (Lorrie Halliday) of Airdrie, AB; his brother Doug Unger of Keoma, and his brother-in-law James Stickler.

FEHR, Claudius - Claudius Fehr passed away on January 22, 2021 at age 74 after a short illness.
Born in Zurich, Switzerland on September 22, 1946 to Arnold Fehr and Charlotte Hubmann, Claudius immigrated to Toronto in 1962 with his mother and his sister Katrin.
He attended the University of Toronto where he was an award-winning honours biology student, and later received a Bachelor of Education.
Driven by his love of wine, he persuaded the LCBO to hire him as a product consultant in 1972, and worked to become a well-known authority and purchaser of old world wines in the Vintages department. In 1977, he was one of the founding members of the Independent Wine Education Guild where he served as Education Co-ordinator for several years.

PERSAUD, Daby - (1936 - 2021) - With heavy hearts, we regret to announce the departure of Mr. Daby Persaud from this life on January 22, 2021 in Toronto, Canada.
Daby Persaud was born on July 20th, 1936 in Berbice, Guyana, son of Pandit Mahase Singh and Champawattie Persaud.
Having lost his mother at a very young age, he was raised by his father and the extended Persaud family. His gratitude is reflected in the 40+ years of service to Toolsie Persaud Ltd. where he effectively developed the Quarrying Operations, Providence Industries Ltd. and Guyana Thermoplastics Ltd. as Executive Director. He was ably mentored by the late Toolsie & David Persaud.

SETHIAN, Sahag 'Isaac' - (1941 - 2021) - Sahag “Isaac” Sethian passed away on Friday January 22, 2021.
He was born in Aleppo, Syria on November 19, 1941 to Seth and Levonig Sethian. He was the eldest of two children, with a younger sister named Grace.
He grew up in Aleppo where he lived with his parents and sister until 1962, when he relocated to Lebanon to continue his education. In 1966, he attained his Masters of Engineering in Computer Systems Networking and Telecommunications, and subsequently a Masters of Business Administration at the American University of Beirut.
On February 6, 1972, he married Maral Moubahyajian and together they were blessed with three children, Raffi, Taline, and Shant.

It is with great sadness that the family of Nicola Novielli announces that he passed away peacefully on the morning of Friday, January 22, 2021.

ARDUINI, Pietro - It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of our beloved father, Pietro on the 22nd of January, 2021 at the age of 85.
Pietro will be joining his late wife Eleonora and predeceased brother Silvio, his sisters Elvina and Gina as well as his late parents Umberto and Angela and many of his close friends.

VINER, Sollie 'Sol' - Born July 2, 1927 – Passed away peacefully at Dartmouth General Hospital on January 22, 2021 at the age of 93.
Sol was a kind-hearted soul, Husband, ex-husband, Father, Brother and Grandfather. Sol will always be remembered for his sharp wit, having an answer for everything and a pocket full of quarters.
Born in Chatham, ON, Sol was raised in Toronto. Sol spent his summers at Crystal Beach helping his sister Sophie do hair while he did the washing. In his youth, Sol travelled all over North America ending up in California and eventually making his way to Halifax. Halifax was to be his new home and he loved it. There he opened the very first arcade in Eastern Canada, “The Wizard” on Quinpool Road.

STOCK, Bernard Clarence 'Bernie' - (1932 - 2021) - Bernard Clarence Stock (“Bernie”), 88, passed away on January 22, 2021, at Brampton, Ontario.
He can now join Beverley, his beloved wife of 62 years, who predeceased him in March 2016.
Bernie was born at Chetnole, England, and spent the war years growing up in Bournemouth on the English south coast. As an eight-year-old, he looked out over the English Channel watching Spitfires and Hurricanes dogfight in the Battle of Britain. From the cliffs, he and his friends always thought they helped the war effort by throwing rocks at contact mines that washed up on the beach believing it was a public service to make them explode in kid-controlled circumstances.

WILSON, Donald Andrew Thurlow - It is with heavy hearts and deep sadness that we announce the passing of Donald Andrew Thurlow Wilson on January 22, 2021 in his 90th year after a 3-week battle with COVID-19.
Don leaves behind his loving wife of 69 years Vera , his three sons and daughter in laws Bryan (Judy), Stephen (Carla) and Brad (Jackie) and 4 loving grandsons Ryan, Brandon, Brett and Adam.
He leaves behind his sisters Marguerite (Toronto) and Merleen (Jacksonville, Florida) and his neice and nephews and well as many many friends. Don was predeceased by his brother Herb and wife Anne and brothers-in-law Don and George
Don worked at CNR railway for 42 years before retiring in 1989 - that’s when the fun started.
