Panavas ReginaPANAVAS, Regina (Gina) (nee STANAITIS)   -  Regina (Gina) Panavas, born November 3, 1955.

Gina died peacefully at home in the loving embrace of her husband, Mik Panavas, and her three children Alisha, Alex, and Jake.

Gina was a longtime Hamilton resident, attending Cathedral High School and McMaster University.

She fell in love with her husband of 41 years, first living with him in Winnipeg.

Gina then transitioned from businessperson to devoted mother 4 years later, returning to Hamilton where she raised three beautiful children.

In their retirement, Gina and Mik divided their time between Hamilton and their close community of friends at Piper's Landing, Florida.

Gina explored many places in the world, guided by curiosity and excitement. She completed her end of life journey May 18, 2021 in her family home with dignity and grace.

We will miss her in our daily lives, but will never lose her in our memories.

Predeceased by her father Jonas Stanaitis, Gina will be deeply missed by her mother Jadze Stanaitis, her brother John (Debbie), sister Ilona (Michael), brother-in-law Ray Panavas (Kerry), sister-in-law Jone Panavas (Vidas), mother-in-law Stella Panavas, and many nieces, nephews, friends and family.

Special thanks to her dear friends Betty and Jim Fyshe for their unwavering support and friendship.

The family wants to extend their sincere gratitude to all of the nurses, doctors and staff at the Juravinski Cancer Centre for their kind support.

Due to Covid-19 restrictions, a celebration of life will be held at a later date.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to the Juravinski Cancer Centre.
