GIAMPERSA, Lucia - (December 30, 1964 – November 30, 2019)
On Saturday, November 30th, 2019, Lucia Giampersa, mother, nanny, daughter, sister, and friend passed away after a hard-fought battle with cancer at the age of 54.
From her birth in Montreal on December 30th, 1964 to her death on Saturday, she nourished people around her with love, the world’s best pasta sauce, and endless laughter.
Lucia will be forever remembered by her children Carmine (Rebecca), Gary (Chelsea), and Kassandra (Kelsey).
Beloved sister of Julie, Gina (Jocelyn), and Lydia (Joe).
She will also be fondly remembered by her granddaughter Emma, numerous nieces, nephews, extended family, and dear friends.
She rests in heaven now with her mother Emma, father Luca, brother Dominic, and sisters Tina and Maria.
Visitation will be held at the OSHAWA FUNERAL HOME, 847 King Street West (905-721-1234) on Saturday, December 7th between 11:00 am and 1:00 pm, with a Memorial Service following in the chapel at 1:00 pm.
Memorial donations to the Sunnybrook Hospital Foundation – Odette Cancer Centre would be appreciated.
