Hannah MarvinHANNAH, Marvin Nelson - (January 21st, 1938 - August 3rd, 2020)

Born 1938 in Iroquois Falls, ON.

Marvin passed away on August 3, 2020.

Predeceased by parents Nelson and Hilda Hannah.

Marvin will be deeply missed by wife of 57 years Eleanor (nee Mountjoy).

He will be remembered as a wonderful father to Paul (Kathy) and Robert (Dianne).

Marvin will be lovingly remembered by brothers David (Irene), Allan (Carole), George (Anne), sisters Marian Campbell (Norman), and Clarice Watt (Rick), as well as sisters in law Beryl Waghorn (Larry), Willa Norton and Ruth Raven and many nieces and nephews.

Marvin was also predeceased by Beau and Marion Starkoski, and Everson Norton.

He will be missed by friends made at Kemptville Agricultural College as well as many work friends. 

A hardworking man of many skills Marvin had a long career as a plumber, retiring from the Durham Board of Education.

Marvin was a member of Kedron United Church. He always took the time to help others in his church and community. He put his talents to work in building the family home in Oshawa. Marvin was always busy working at something, living up to one of his favourite sayings, “make yourself useful”. 

Thank You to the staff at Bowmanville Hospital for the wonderful care provided to Marvin in his last months. 

In Marvin’s memory donations can be made to Kedron United Church or the Alzheimer Society of Durham Region. 

Due to the Covid-19 situation a Celebration of Life service will take place at a later date.
