EVANS, Blair  -  November 26, 1933 - May 4, 2021

So sad to announce the passing of Blair Evans of Claremont, Ontario.

He was the beloved husband of Jean, for 65 years.

Loving father of Rod Evans (Carrie), Sherry Evans (Terry); grandchildren Sandra Kozak (Robert), Sarah Evans (Luke), Lindsay Evans (Shane), extended grandchildren Terry Jr. Carmichael (Ericka) and Mathew Carmichael (Laura); and 10 great grandchildren.

Blair will be remembered by his many nieces, nephews and cousins.

He was a volunteer firefighter for over 30 years. Served his community as a Lion, receiving his 40-year membership.

For 20 years, from 1990, he was responsible for the Claremont Union Cemetery, the last 10 years he managed the cemetery, resigning December 31, 2020.  He was a member of the Brougham Masonic Lodge.

Blair had many occupation jobs, from carpenter, contractor, owner operator of a gravel truck, to Board of Education maintenance.

One of his most memorable accomplishments was the development of the subdivision on Burnt River, Fenelon Falls where he gained many friends.

Some of his last words were; “I love my family.”

If desired, memorial donations can be made to the Claremont Union Cemetery.
