HICKEY, Monica May Hickey (nee MacLean) - 1933 - 2021 Passed away peacefully at Lakeridge Health Hospital on Sunday, November 7th, 2021 at the age of 88 surrounded by her loving family.
Beloved wife of Raymond Hickey for an incredible 67 years.
Devoted mother of Ray Jr, John (Denine), Theresa (Tom), Lexi, Jim (Lynne) and Tina.
Loving grandmother of Elizabeth, Layla, Jennifer, Christopher, Ryan, Chad, Cassie, Alexa, Katie, and Rory, and great-grandmother of James, Ian, Jaidyn, Eric, and Henry.
Sister to Mary, Allan (Agnes), Donald (Tina), Huey, Shirley and predeceased by Francis (Georgette), Theresa (Bill), Anna, Valentine (Rita) and Glen.
Monica always lit up a room with her beautiful smile, infectious laugh, and warm heart.
Leading a compassionate life in the service of others, she selflessly devoted her time to help those within the community.
She was an active Member of the Catholic Women's League, the Daughters of Isabella organization, and a faithful member of St. Francis de Sales and St. Bernadette’s Catholic Churches.
Monica dedicated her life to her most special gift from God, Tina.
She will be dearly missed by her extended family, friends, and all who had the pleasure of loving and being loved by her. In lieu of flowers, please donate to a charity or cause that is close to your heart.
Visitation at McEachnie Funeral Home, Ajax Ontario, on Friday, November 12, 2021. Registration required. The Funeral Mass will take place at St. Francis de Sales Roman Catholic Church (1001 Ravenscroft Rd., Ajax Ontario L1T 4X1) on Saturday, November 13, 2021 at 10:30 a.m. with the burial to follow.
