RODRIQUEZ, Leonie Rodriquez - September 27, 1939 - December 7, 2021
Our wonderful and devoted Mom, Grandma and Auntie passed away peacefully on December 7, 2021.
Born in Kingston, Jamaica to Louis & Gloria O’Neill and moved to Pickering, Canada in 1975.
Leonie was a devoted, fun-loving mother to David (Di), Mark – deceased (Deb) and Michele.
A loving, wonderful Grandma to Brianne (Mike), Jordan, Dylan, Mallory, Abby and Evan and was expecting her first great-grandchild in the coming months. Loving sister to Judith-deceased (John), Leighton (Judy), and Jennifer.
She was a loving & caring Auntie & Great Auntie to all of her nieces and nephews. Mom was strong, quiet and a fiercely independent woman, who never missed a family occasion or celebration and shared in all of our proud moments.
Special thanks to the wonderful doctors and nurses at Lakeridge Health - Ajax for their gentle care of mom in her final days and the support they showed the family.
A visitation and service will be held at McEachnie Funeral Home, Ajax, on Tuesday December 14, 2021 from 4:00-8:00 PM …with interment to follow at a later date. Registration required.
In lieu of flowers, the family would appreciate a donation in Leonie’s name to the Heart and Stroke Foundation, Princess Margaret Hospital or a CHARITY of your chose. Most sincere thanks.
