On December 8th, Mary Parsons (nee Machin) passed from this world to the next in her 93rd year.

Born in Keppoch, Prince Edward Island to the late Sam and Irene Machin (nee Tarleton).

Mary grew up on the farm in the love of her family. On May 1, 1954 at St. Paul’s Church, Charlottetown, she married Gerald Parsons of Fredericton, NB, and moved to Toronto.

They purchased their home in Whitby in 1957, there to raise their three daughters.

Frequent summer trips “home” to PEI were a staple for her family, creating treasured memories with family and friends.

Mary was predeceased by her parents Irene and Sam Machin, brother Stanley (the late Millicent) and sister Dorothy Mugford (the late Royston).

Mary is survived by her beloved husband Gerald; daughters Kathryn Irene (Patrick), Patricia Lynn (Bernie), and Sandra Mary (John); treasured grandchildren Molly (Stephen), Bradley, Travis (Marcie) and Tyler (Carlie); proud great-grandmother to Hunter, Daphne, Norah, Elysa, Duke and Teddy; nieces, nephews, and their families; and her countless dear friends.

Memorial service arrangements are entrusted to BARNES MEMORIAL FUNERAL HOME , 5295 Thickson Rd. N.  Whitby. Visitation will be held on Tuesday December 14th from 10:00 am until time of Service in the Barnes Chapel Tuesday morning at 11:00 am.
