Holly CarolHOLLY, Carol Mary Holly  -  Aug. 24, 1941 – Feb. 26, 2022

It is with heavy hearts we announce that Carol Holly (nee Gorman/Rosa), beloved wife of Ted Holly of 30 years, adored mother of Kimberly Gorman and Lynn Gorman (deceased), and Rob and Mary Holly, ended her struggle with cancer on February 26th in Oshawa, Ontario.

A huge family will miss her terribly: siblings Pidge, Rose (deceased), Mary, Jimmy, Audrey, Felicia; grandchildren Owen, Vanessa, Liam; and numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and friends .

Carol was the embodiment of love. She was kind, generous, understanding and loving to all.

She said prayers when she saw someone homeless, sponsored poor children all over the world, loved her pets and adored children.

She was stunningly beautiful and ecstatically happy when she fell in love with her tall, dark and handsome Ted.

Together they created a beautiful home where they were generous to all, including their annual summer BBQ’s around the pool for all to enjoy.  Carol was a devout Catholic and lived her religion through her words and actions.

She fiercely loved and protected her children. She was bright, funny, a great Italian cook and open to learning ways to deal with the things that challenged her.

She was a stellar human being and was loved by so, so many. We see her now surrounded by loved ones who have passed over and finally at peace.

Visitation will be on Wednesday, March 2, from 4-8 p.m., at OSHAWA FUNERAL HOME, 847 King St. W., Oshawa.

Funeral Mass will be held on Thursday, March 3, from 10:30-11:30 at St. Mary of the People Parish, 570 Marion Ave., Oshawa.

For those unable to attend, the service will be livestreamed using the following link: https://funeraweb.tv/diffusions/48381 .
