REID, Leonard Edward “Len” - JUNE 14, 1925 – SEPTEMBER 12, 2022
Passed Peacefully at Hillsdale Estates Oshawa, on September 12, 2022 at the age of 97.
Retired Detective Sergeant Ontario Provincial Police (1949-1982).
Former Sergeant Royal Canadian Air Force 1945.
Predeceased by his wife Eileen (Sitter) of 70 years. Together again, may they rest in peace.
Remembered by his sons James (Susan), David (Frances-deceased 2021), Carl (Barb) and daughter Catherine. Will be missed by his 8 Grandchildren and 6 Great Grandchildren.
Longtime member of the Masonic Temple and Shriners.
Past president of the Oshawa and District Shrine Club. Served with the Ontario Provincial Police in Niagara Falls, Hagersville, Cayuga, Brockville, Kemptville, Prescott, Timmins and Toronto.
Visitation will be held at the OSHAWA FUNERAL HOME, 847 King Street West (905-721-1234) on Wednesday October 26, 2022 at 12:30 p.m. until time of Memorial Service at 1:30 p.m.
In lieu of flowers, donations to the Oshawa and District Shrine Club or the OPP Youth Foundation would be greatly appreciated.
