HEAD, John Douglas - Doug was born on November 16, 1927 and passed away peacefully, at home on February 19, 2024.
He was the beloved husband of Carol (Williams); and the loving father of Gordon (Daphne), and Ian (Linda).
He was the proud grandfather of Samantha (Matt), Adam (Lesley), and Derek; as well as the proud great-grandfather of Sawyer, Adler and Piper.
He was predeceased by his parents, Walter and Hazel Head; and brother-in-law, Lynn Williams (Audrey).
Doug grew up in Peterborough and was a graduate of Victoria College (University of Toronto).
His lifelong career with The Travelers Ins. Co. included positions in Toronto, Halifax and Ottawa. His interests were varied, among them volunteer work and support for various charities.
Family times together were most important, often at the cottage or on a cruise.
He enjoyed many friendships, whether maintained from school days or developed over the years. He will be missed.
