HAVELOCK, William Joseph - July 23, 1943 – December 5, 2021
Peacefully passed away on Sunday, December 5, 2021 at the age of 78.
Bill was born in Winnipeg, Manitoba.
Bill worked for many years in radio and was a Knight at Knights of Columbus.
He enjoyed drawing and sketching in which he had an extreme talent for doing so. Bill AKA (Sonny) had a kind heart and will be remembered for his easy going and friendly nature.
He had a love for movies, especially Westerns.
Bill will be missed very much by his loving sister Diana Hawryluk and his daughter Lindsay Havelock who he shared a very special bond with.

PURVIS, Robert Franklin - Robert Franklin Purvis passed away peacefully at Amica, London on December 5, 2021.
He had returned to Canada from retirement in Panama City, Panama for health reasons five years ago and found a happy home, excellent care and many good friends at Amica.
We are told he was very popular there, entertaining his friends with his witty comments and telling endless stories about his experiences in life.

KULA, Hilda (nee SUU) - Passed away on Sunday, December 5, 2021 in her 94th year, at Thompson House.
Loving wife of the late Valentin, mother of Yuri (Cynthia).
Survived by brother Heimar and sister Helga in Sweden.
Mourned by many nieces and nephews in Sweden.
Also missed by the Fraser and Ottensmeyer families.

HOLMES, Helen Olive (nee MOSLEY) - Helen passed away peacefully, on Sunday, December 5, 2021, with her family by her side. Born December 23, 1925, Helen grew up in Newmarket before moving to Toronto in her teens.
She and her family moved to the house they built in Caledon in the 70's where she resided for the rest of her life.
She loved taking long drives with her husband Bob to wherever the car wanted to go.
Her life was filled with being the quintessential mother and grandmother.
While primarily a stay-at-home mom, Helen, during WWII did "war work" and also worked for several years after the war at Remington Arms, where she assembled and test fired rifles.

Survived by children, David, Kathy and Christa, daughter-in-law Carol Derk, son-in-law Hector Mackenzie, grandchildren Amanda (Kevan Loy) and Andrew Giles, Anna and Sarah Mackenzie (Jack McVeigh), sisters-in-law Sue and Dolly, nieces and nephews, Sharon, and many friends and colleagues.
Predeceased by his wife Anna, and his brothers, George and Jack.
He and Anna were the driving force behind the founding of the Toronto French School and he founded the Giles School.

GIFFORD, Michelle Amanda - February 20, 1984 – December 5, 2021
Michelle Amanda Gifford passed peacefully on December 5, 2021 at North York General Hospital.
Her mother and stepfather were by her side.
She will be sorely missed by her parents, Vicky Beed and Michael Gifford, stepfather Phil Beed, sister Victoria Gifford, and stepsister Sarah Beed Martins.
Lovingly remembered by Uncle Rob, Aunt Wendy (cousins Ryan, Devon and Jordan), Uncle David, and the Boyden family.
Predeceased by grandparents Lois and Frank Smith.
Michelle was a long-term resident of North Yorkers for Disabled Persons, and will be deeply missed by all residents, and staff.

TEGLER, Audrey Joyce (nee COWMAN) - Died peacefully, on Sunday, December 5, 2021, at 94 years of age, at Wellington Terrace in Fergus, Ontario.
Audrey was born to Letitia (née Carter) and John Cowman in Brightside (Hamilton), Ontario on February 23 1927.
Audrey was predeceased by her siblings, Letitia (Tom), Dorothea (Tony), Agnes (Jim), George (Auburn), Jack (Mae) and Robert (Alice).
At 19 years old, Audrey was married to William Donald Tegler and together they had six children, Donald William, deceased, Lawrence Anthony (Heather), Brent Allan (Ellen), Elaine Anne, deceased (Earl), James Charles (Vicki), and John Joseph (Julie).

ARBUCKLE, Richard Allan - Peacefully with his wife by his side, on December 5, 2021 at the age of 57.
Beloved husband of Leena.
Cherished father of Erich, Tory, Declan and Valentina.
Adored son of George and Sandra Arbuckle, dearly missed by brother, Andy (Carrie), sister, Alyson, sisters-in-law Lisa (Cam) and Silvia (Rajiv), and his many nephews and nieces.
Richard was born in Halifax, grew up in Batawa and Wooler, Ontario.
With a strong work ethic even as a young teenager, he worked various jobs from a farm hand to a reservist with the army.

SMIT, Martje 'Marsha' - It is with great sadness we announce the peaceful passing of our beloved Marsha on Saturday December 4, 2021 at the age of 87.
Marsha is now reunited in heaven with her loving parents Geertje and Sytze.

CLOSE, Margaret Florence (nee SAUNDERS) - Margaret "Margie" Close passed away peacefully at home, on Saturday, December 4, 2021, at age 94, with Vern her husband of 67 years at her side.
She will be greatly missed by all. Predeceased by her son Stephen.
Margie had lifelong hearing problems but always persevered.
She had an endless thirst for knowledge, gave freely of her time and was incredibly creative.
She always asked why, never accepting status quo.
Margie met Vern, a resourceful and creative salesperson at "ladies" night at Rockway GC.

CHALMERS, Gordon Thomas - It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of Gordon on December 4, 2021 where he died peacefully at the Dorothy Ley Hospice.
Gord was a man who loved life and lived it to the fullest.
He loved travel, music, sailing, skiing, golfing and in this younger days boxing.
Gord could often be seen with his wine and favourite cigar.
Born and raised in Toronto by his parents Ruby and George along with brothers Bill and Bob.
Gord had a very successful career as a Chartered Accountant. He will be remembered for his work ethic, energy and wisdom.

ARNOLD, Dorothy Arnold - 90, passed into the presence of her Lord and Saviour peacefully, on Saturday, December 4, 2021, surrounded by family.
Dorothy was born in Bitola, Macedonia, the daughter of Peter and Vasilka Stoicheff.
She married George Arnold in 1960, the love of her life for over 55 years. Dorothy worked for the Toronto Board of Education and was instrumental in developing and implementing the Physical Education Curriculum in public schools.
Retiring from her teaching position after the birth of her first son, she devoted her time to Ladies Christian Outreach and became a well-known and respected bible teacher, as well as a mentor to many.
She was actively involved in the Community Bible Study and took part in her final class 3 days prior to her passing.

HARTRY, Douglas Clynick - Slipped away on December 4, 2021 at age 95.
We thought he would live forever or at least until the Maple Leafs won a Stanley Cup but he missed his beloved Maxine (nee Armitage) more.
Their funerals are exactly five years apart.

BROOKS, Frances "Fran" Clara - Passed away peacefully at Bridgepoint Health Centre on Saturday, December 4, 2021 at the age of 84, after a brief but challenging fight with cancer.
Fran was a beautiful, reflective, quietly charismatic person who loved and supported her friends and family.
Fran was predeceased by her beloved husband Wilson (1994) and, for some 45 years, has been the beloved stepmother of Judy, Kim (Bob), Elaine, and Paul – as well as proud "Granny Frannie" of Nicole, Kelsey, Jordan, and Carter.
Fran will be dearly missed by sister-in-law Flo, cousin Jean (Alan) and their sons Joey, Ben, Max, and her cat Jackson. Fran spent her career as a dedicated teacher and special ed consultant, and she will be remembered by her many TDSB colleagues, students, and friends.

TRUMBLE, Wayne N. - 1961 - 2021 Wayne completed his earthly journey on December, 3, 2021.
Beloved son of Mellie Trumble.
Predeceased by his elder sister, Arlene (Parker) in 2019, and father, Hardie in 2000.

Everyone knew Wayne as a kind and gentle man.
