GERVASI, Marianna Occhiuto - Marianna passed away November 1, 2018 at home surrounded by family at the age of 93.

She was born on March 16, 1925 in Cosenza, Italy and emigrated to Toronto, Canada in 1964 with her family.

Predeceased by her beloved husband Rosario. Loving mother to Ida (Oreste), Pino (Ruth), Ornella (Tony), Frank (Kelly).

Cherished Nonna to Anthony, Joanna (Ivan), Tania (Nick), Daniella, Luca (Jessica), Celia, Micah (Katie), Nina, Jonah, Victoria, and Julia. Proud Bis-Nonna to Sofia, Olivia, Milania, Max, Elisa and Luciano. She is survived by her siblings; Giusseppe (Iola), Giovanni (Rosina), Dora, Maria (Francesco), and Silvanna (Gianni) and predeceased by Mario, Adolfo, Vittorio, Aurora and Ada.

Marianna was a devout Roman Catholic; loving, generous, patient and kind. She was a talented baker and expert communicator. Marianna’s favourite pastimes were praying the Rosary, spending time with her grandchildren, playing cards and telling stories. She was and is the glue that keeps the family together.

Visitation at Ward funeral home, Woodbridge chapel, 4671 Highway #7, Vaughan, Ontario on Sunday NOvember 4th from 2 - 4pm and from 6 - 9pm.

Funeral Service will be held at Immaculate Conception Parish - Woodbridge, Ontario on November 5th at 9:30 a.m.  Interment at Glendale Memorial Gardens, Toronto.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to SickKids Hospital.
