Orange JacquelineORANGE, Jacqueline Claire (née Boyle)  -  At St. Michael’s Hospital on November 1, 2018. She was born to Latham and Rita Boyle (née Meunier) in 1944.

Born in Toronto, she spent her childhood in several Ontario cities, including Kingston, Windsor, and Hamilton, where she attended high school. Jackie’s adult life is marked by a pattern of aspiration and achievement, and of forging uncharted terrain. In 1966 she became a University of Toronto graduate, then married and had two children.

In 1982 she earned her MBA from the University of Western Ontario, and began a distinguished career in finance. She worked as a senior bank officer focused on savings, a path that culminated in almost a decade running the Canada Savings Bond program as CEO.

Throughout her adult life she cultivated a passion for travel, a strong love of the arts, and a delight in beauty wherever she found it. In retirement and a second marriage, Jackie found her lifelong pursuit of both adventure and personal contentment fulfilled. She also took up downhill skiing and returned to golf, which her parents had loved, and honed her naturally skilled game. She took great joy in her family and relished time with a treasured community of friends.

Thanks and gratitude to Dr. Victor Hoffstein , the respirology team, and the palliative care unit at St. Michael’s Hospital in Toronto.

Donations may be made to St. Michael's Hospital or the charity of your choice.

Jackie is survived by her husband, Frank Clayton; her son, Christopher Orange (and wife Karen and their daughter, Sophie); her daughter, Michelle Orange; her sister, Jeannette McGlone; and nephew Warren McGlone (and wife Astrid Ho).

A celebration of life service will take place at Mount Pleasant Funeral Centre, 375 Mount Pleasant Road (east gate entrance) in Toronto on Tuesday, November 6, 2018 at 2 pm. A visitation will take place an hour prior to service time.
