GROVES, Gerald "Gerry" - February 1923 - December 2018 WWII Veteran (Flight Lieutenant)
Passed away peacefully at his home in Midhurst on Thursday, December 6, 2018, at the age of 95.
Gerry is predeceased by his wife, Audrey Groves and two sons: Alan and John.
Gerry is survived by his son, Paul (Onalee) and his three granddaughters: Jenny (Simon), Tracy (Alban) and Nicole. He will be missed by his four great-grandchildren: Finley, Lukas, Sabine and Adria. Gerry was raised and educated in Watford, England.
After his years of service in the RAF, he immigrated to (Agincourt) Canada where he worked in the aircraft and aluminum industries. Gerry retired to Midhurst where he dedicated his time to volunteering for MADD, 228 Squadron Association and the Midhurst Union Cemetery.
Friends may call at the Jennett Funeral & Cremation Centre, Barrie, on Sunday, December 16th, from 12 noon until the time of memorial service at 1:00 p.m.
In lieu of flowers, donations will be gratefully accepted to MADD or to the charity of your choice.
