CASEY, Michael - It is with great sadness, we announce the passing of Michael Casey at the age of 53 at North York General Hospital on Monday, May 20, 2019.
Survived by his loving wife and best friend Sheila.
Cherished by his children David and Jessica.
Beloved son to Margaret and Eugene Casey.
Devoted brother to Joanne Humphrey and Paula Casey, Peter Casey.
Unforgettable uncle to his nieces and nephews Caitlyn, Andrew, Jack, Joshua, Mackenzie, Nathaniel and his great-nephew Blake and many aunts, uncles and cousins.
Always remembered by his parents-in-law Tom and June Poole.
Treasured by Glen and Alice Poole and Laura and James Dolhy and their children and grandgrandchildren.
Mike was recognized for his incredible dedication to the students and faculty of the York Region District School Board where he served as a caretaker for over twenty years at the same elementary school he attended as a child. He had a lifelong passion for playing, watching and coaching sports of all kinds.
Visitation will be held at DeMarco Funeral Visitation Centre, Woodbridge on Thursday, May 23 from 2 to 4 pm and 6 to 9 pm. A Funeral Service will be held at 10:00 am Friday, May 24 at DeMarco Funeral Home Chapel.
