JONG, Lucie Charlotte - (September 24, 1925 - June 21, 2019) -
Passed away peacefully on June 21, 2019, at Grace Manor, Holland Christian Homes.
Predeceased by loving husband Theodore August 7, 2009.
Cherished mother of Peter (Wendy), Annette (Robert Mobbs), and Rosemarie (Bruce).
Loving grandma to Janet, Ron, Jason, Suzanne, Peter, Jeanette, Melanie, and Steven. Loving great grandmother to 19 great grandchildren.
Lucie immigrated to Canada from Germany in 1952. She was a long time employee of Hewetsons Shoe Factory, in Brampton, Ontario. Later, she worked as a school crossing guard. She was an avid knitter, crocheter. Lucie was much cherished, and will be deeply missed by all her family and friends.
A Memorial Coffee Social will be held at Holland Christian Homes, Harmony Hall, 7900 McLaughlin Road South, Brampton, Ontario, on Thursday July 4, 2019, from 2 to 4 pm.
In lieu of flowers, Memorial Donations to The Alzheimers Society would be appreciated by Lucie’s family.
