Kokaliaris ChristinaKOKALIARIS, Christina (Behrakis) - 17/10/1942 -  05/08/2019 - Passed away on August 5, 2019 surrounded by her family.

Christina was a loving wife of 52 years to John Kokaliaris.

Cherished mother of Legare (Bob) Dimitrios (Jim) and Georgia (Angelos) of Markham.

She will be sadly missed by her grandchildren Eleftheria, Peter, Michael, John and John.

Christina is also survived by her siblings and many nieces and nephews.

Christina had a successful career as a teacher, community leader, President of the Laconian (O Leonidas) Association  and was an advocate for our Greek youth. For over 50 years she dedicated her time volunteering for the Greek Community of Metropolitan Toronto, and organized many annual events for the Lakoniki Levendia Greek Dance Group and the Laconian Association.

Her biggest accomplishment in life was being the Matriarch of our family. She was the best Wife, Mother and Grandmother anyone could ever ask for. Taking care of all her children/family brought her the greatest joy in her life. She was the best care giver and cook ever! She instilled kindness, generosity and had the most beautiful spirit inside and out. She lit up any room with her presence, smart wit, humour, and contagious laughter. She was one of a kind and a force to be reckoned with. She will be missed dearly.

Mother, you left us beautiful memories, your love is still our guide, although we cannot see you, you're always at our side

Visitation will be held at Highland Funeral Home, Scarborough on August 8th from 2:00 PM - 04:00 PM and 7:00 PM - 09:00 PM. The service will take place at St. John's Greek Orthodox Church, 1385 Warden Avenue, Toronto om August 9th at 10:00 AM.
