FARIA, Veronica Julietta (nee Vieira) - Long-time resident of Scarborough, ON passed away at the age of 92 on November 14, 2019.
She married the late Joe Faria in Georgetown, Guyana in 1949 and immigrated to Canada in 1970, settling in Scarborough.
Veronica is survived by five children Des (Trish), Joe (Myrtle), Mario (Zita), Judy (Walter) and Anne (Peter).
She is also survived by eleven grandchildren (Lisa, Richard, Michael, Laura, Jennifer,
John, Christina, Katherine, Ashley, Colin and Bradley) and five great-grandchildren (Elijah, Ainsley, Noah, Brenna and Emilianna.
Veronica was predeceased by her devoted husband in 2009. She leaves behind a legacy of love and devotion to her family.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations may be made to Canadian Food For Children.
Family and friends are welcome to attend the Visitation on Friday, November 22 between 4 p.m. and 9 p.m. at McDougall & Brown Funeral Home, 2900 Kingston Road, Scarborough and the funeral service on Saturday, November 23 at 11:00 a.m. at St Boniface Catholic Church, 21 Markanna Drive, Scarborough. Interment will be at Christ the King Cemetery, 7770 Steeles Ave E., Markham immediately following the funeral service.
