Kizas SpiroKIZAS, Spiro - It is with heavy hearts that we announce that Spiro Kizas passed away on Tuesday, March 17, 2020. He was in the company of his loving family at his home in Toronto, when he passed peacefully at the age of 84.

Beloved husband to Treasure (née Fraser), for over 50 years.

Loving father to Ashley (Tiniel), Andrew (David), and Byron (Sarah).

Cherished Papou (Grandfather) to Brooklyn, Katia, and his Granddog Molly.

Spiro was predeceased by his parents (Helene and Constantin) and his brother (Loizos).

Spiro Kizas, born in Alexandria, Egypt, was an honours graduate of the National Conservatory of Athens in Greece, where he received master’s degrees in piano performance and pedagogy. He served as a faculty member of The Royal Conservatory of Music, in Toronto, since 1979. His influence as a music educator was profound, and impacted the lives of many people around the world.

Spiro's kindness, gentle smile, and sense of humour will be deeply missed by all.

A celebration of Spiro's life will be held at a later date.

In lieu of flowers, a donation, in Spiro's name, to a charity of your choice would be appreciated.
