Mitchell BertMITCHELL, Bert Clayton - (March 30, 1927 to March 26, 2020) - Passed away quietly on March 26, 2020 at the age of 92.

He will be missed dearly by Theresa, his loving and devoted wife of 74 years.

He will be forever loved by his children Robert (Marlene) and Shirley. Bert was a proud Papa and Great-Papa who will be remembered fondly by Jeff, Jodie (Doug), Jassen, Jenny (Greg), Taylor, Tori and baby Sofia.

Bert will be missed by his many nieces and nephews, especially Evelyn and Wayne Grimble, who provided so much love and support in his final years.

Bert was a loyal brother and is preceded by his siblings Madeline (Predeceased Johnny), Roy (Predeceased Winnie) and predeceased by his brother Jimmy (Therese).

Bert had a good sense of humour, was often stubborn, and had a sensitive soul. He lived a full and happy life as an electrical engineer after serving in the RCAF.

Bert enjoyed flying his airplane, playing golf, and puttering around his workshop. But most of all, he loved spending time with his family. Theresa was the love of his life and he was everything to her. He always said it was love at first sight. They were true soulmates.

Bert will be missed.

The family wishes to thank the staff and volunteers of the Margaret Bahen Hospice.

Due to the current public health crisis a private family visitation will be held at Taylor Funeral Home, Newmarket Chapel.

In lieu of flowers donations made in Bert’s name to the Margaret Bahen Hospice would be appreciated (www.taylorfh.ca).
