Shirley was the youngest in the Family and in her early years moved back to Toronto, growing up in the Davisville and Yonge St. area. In her later youth and teens she was a Ballet Dancer of some note.

She met and married Edward Hart and had her Son Brian in 1959.

Through the sixties, Shirley worked for Chum Radio in its Heydays, meeting many famous people with opportunities such as being at the Beatles Press Conference when they came to Toronto, and riding in the Traffic Helicopter.

Her favorite Chum experience was being one of the “Chum Witches” created to follow the Toronto Maple Leafs and their games to put a curse on the Canadiens and Redwings in the Stanly Cup Playoffs.

In the late sixties Shirley moved to Trenton Ontario to work as an Air Force Civilian and to be closer to her Sister Joan and Family.

In the early seventies Shirley moved back to Toronto (Thorncliffe Park) where she lived for many years with her Mother Ida Pearl working for the Provincial Government and again with Chum Radio until her retirement.

Upon retirement, Shirley eventually moved to Ajax Ontario to be closer to her Son and Family, making many friends at 40 Kitney Court.

Shirley will be fondly remembered by everyone who’s lives she touched. She was a kind and gentle Soul.

In Lieu of flowers, donations to the Alzheimer’s Society would be greatly appreciated.
