Degen RalphDEGEN, Ralph - It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of Ralph, 58, on May 13, 2020, at Brampton Civic Hospital.

He was born to Margarete Degen, on April 6th, 1962, in Toronto, Ontario.

He married Barbara, his ‘Barbie’ and sweetheart, in 1991.

Both of them survive him, as well as his two sons, Ryan and Michael Degen, their respective partners, Jonathon Zarb and Melissa Da Silva, his beloved niece and great niece, Stephanie and Morgan Feldman, his loving sister, Gabrielle Feldman, and his loyal canine companions, Major and Sergeant.

Ralph graduated from Centennial College and became a licensed truck and coach technician. He was a well-regarded mentor and teacher in his trade. He is still fondly remembered and deeply respected by several of his past apprentices and colleagues.

He deeply valued family and wanted nothing more than for his loved ones to be successful in life. He was always incredibly proud of his families accomplishments: ecstatic that his wife was promoted to a manager; thrilled that his son, Ryan, and niece, Stephanie, were the first people in his family to graduate from university; delighted that his son, Michael, entered the same trade as him and continued his legacy.

After a long, yet dignified, battle against several health conditions, we take reprieve in knowing that he is at peace. He will be deeply missed, forever loved, and always remembered as a son, husband, father, brother, uncle, and friend. He is our hero.

In light of the recent COVID-19 social distancing regulations, this service will be private and restricted to a limited number of family members. We apologize for any inconvenience but ask that you keep Ralph and his family in your thoughts.
