Deane MaryDEANE, Mary (nee D'ALESANDRO)  - 1932 - 2020 Passed away suddenly, on Wednesday, July 15, 2020, in Thornhill, with her family by her side.

Loved wife of 63 years and friend of Bill, mother of Howard (Fran) and Susan (Paul), proud grandma to Matthew, Thomas, Michael, Jennifer, and Zach, daughter of the late Louise D'Alesandro, predeceased by sister Kay (Bob), loving aunt, and friend to an entire community.

Mary had a remarkable zest for life, an unerring sense of fashion, and an enviable amount of energy that she used to care for her family and the community she loved at the Thornhill Seniors Club.

She loved to travel – mostly sunny, warm climates – and being with her family.

More recently, she enthusiastically volunteered for more than 15 years at the Thornhill Seniors Club, loving the opportunity to meet new people and bring pleasure to their day. She treasured her friends and, in particular, "lunching with the ladies".

Mary loved her home with Bill in Thornhill for more than 50 years, where she found pleasure in entertaining family and friends and decorating.

She spent many hours tending her beloved garden, proudly sharing it with everyone.

A memorial service with immediate family members is planned. A celebration of life with extended family and friends will take place at a later date.

In lieu of flowers, those who so wish may make memorial donations to the charity of their choice.
