Copp BarbaraCOPP, Barbara Ann - (December 30, 1941 – September 24, 2020) -

It is with heavy hearts that we announce that Barbara Ann Copp, of Brampton, Ontario, passed away with her children by her side, at Brampton Civic hospital on the evening of Thursday September 24, 2020.

Born in Stratford, she was the daughter of the late Rose Brooks Henderson and Gordon Edison Brooks.

Barb will be dearly missed by her two children, Rebecca Leach and David Copp, her grandson, Jackson, her sisters Brenda Sinton (Ted Sinton) and Bonnie R. Brooks.

She will be fondly remembered by her niece Kristin Kidd (Robert Kidd) and their children Thomas, Jonathan and Shannon and her many cousins in the extended Forman clan.

Known to many as an incredibly resilient woman, Barb courageously faced her life’s challenges with grace. Her strength and endurance over the last few years served to be nothing short of inspirational. Her brilliant mind, active wit and wonderful sense of humour are just a few of the many attributes she was known for.

She dedicated much of her life to her passion, education. Recognized as “one of the best teachers ever," many of her students will recollect her love of teaching and investing in others. Barb was also passionate about her community and giving back.

In her memory, donations to The Scott Mission, Diabetes Canada or the Heart and Stroke Foundation are appreciated in lieu of flowers.

Barb’s family invites you to honour her memory in the digital memory book on the website of ANdrews funeral home, Brampton.
