Vaandering JohnVAANDERING, Jan 'John' - It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of our beloved husband and father on November 4, 2020 at the age of 89 years.

John is now united with his loving Saviour.

He was the cherished husband of Ina for 60 wonderful years. Devoted father of Frances (Adrian) Vlasblom, Christine (Mark) Baillie and Eleanor (Marco) Mostert.

Wonderful grandfather of David (Sarah) Vlasblom, Amy (Kevin), Alicia (Shawn), Andrew, Timothy, Hannah (Jon), Heidi, Jennifer, Matthew; Jamie and Bradley Baillie; Sarah Mostert, Rachel †, Janelle, Nathan, Evaline and Jeremy.

Loving great grandfather of Olive and Rose; Ethan and Caleb; Summer, Simon and Naomi; and Ariella.

John is survived by his sister Stien (Zeger †) Van Thuyl. John will be sadly missed and fondly remembered by all his family and friends.

John had a passion for woodworking and carpentry.

A special thanks to Mira Memelli, Nurse Julie and all the staff in Faith Manor for their compassionate care.

Friends will be received (RESPECTING COVID RESTRICTIONS) at the Scott Funeral Home “Brampton” Chapel, (289 Main Street North) on Monday, November 9th from 2 – 3 pm.

A second visitation will take place at the Grace Canadian Reformed Church (10301 Creditview Road) on Tuesday, November 10th from 10 – 11 am with a Funeral Service to follow. John will be laid to rest at the Brampton Memorial Gardens.

*In light of the current global pandemic with the present restrictions placed on group gatherings by the government, attendance at the funeral home and Church has been restricted to 30% capacity. For the health and well-being of everyone, we respectfully request that attendees at the funeral home or Church comply with current Brampton by-laws by observing social and physical distancing and wearing masks.
Those who are able are encouraged to attend the visitation at the Funeral Home on Monday to allow family members travelling from a distance to spend a little time with loved ones before the funeral.
In consideration of the present restrictions we encourage guests to be mindful of the time spent in the funeral home so that all guests may have an opportunity to support the family during this very difficult time. For those attending the visitation and service, for the health and safety of Mrs. Vaandering, it is respectfully suggested condolences be offered to her from a distance.
