KUBIK, Jozef - With heavy hearts we announce the peaceful passing of Jozef Kubik with his family by his side on Wednesday, November 18, 2020 at the age of 80.
Now reunited with his late daughter Beatka Kubik (1969), Jozef was the beloved husband of Krystyna Kubik for over 50 years of marriage. Loving father to Wojciech (Alexandra) and proud grandfather to his only grandson Maximilian.
Jozef was born in Poland in 1940 and from a young age he was intelligent and disciplined. He was a bridge engineer for the Polish Army; something that brought him pride. Although proud of his heritage, he moved his family to Canada; at one point he was part of the construction of the Niagara Falls Power Plant.
Although diligent, Josef had a lighter side. He was always a joker and loved being around kids. He will be dearly missed and lovingly remembered by family in Poland.
Friends will be received at the Ridley Funeral Home, 3080 Lake Shore Blvd. W., Etobicoke on Saturday, November 21st at 9:30 am. A funeral mass will take place at St. Teresa’s Catholic Church (100 Tenth Street, Etobicoke) at 11:00 am. Interment to follow at Queen of Heaven Cemetery.
Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the capacity of the church facilities is limited. Guests wishing to attend may choose a time slot by registering with the funeral home. Those not registered may have to wait to be admitted as space permits. All guests will be expected to wear a mask and respect social distancing guidelines.
