Mandel Dr SidneyMANDEL, Dr. Sidney Mandel  -  It is with profound sadness that the family of Dr. Sidney Mandel announce his passing on April 1, 2021.

He had finally lost his long battle with Parkinson's Disease.

He is survived by his dearest and devoted wife of 58 years, Mary, his children Scott Mandel and Angela Mandel, his daughter-in-law Margaret, his sister-in-law Marjorie Mandel as well as his nephew Sloan and his niece Carrie.

His cherished brother, Lawrence, predeceased him by only 4 months.

He will be missed by his grandchildren Nolan, Claire and Bronwen Mandel.

His family also included his sister-in-law Margaret Hodson (deceased), her husband Michael, their children Michael (deceased), Joanna and her husband Paul. Sid was a man with many diverse interests.

In addition to his chosen profession of Dentistry, which he practiced for over 50 years, he loved his time as a jazz drummer most. Music remained a lifelong passion.

For several years he competed with his 2 racing cars, taught classes at a driving school and later became an official for club and Grand Prix races. He also introduced his young son to Go Kart racing and the two of them spent many hours in the garage working on the engines.

He was also very involved in his children's ski racing in winter and coaching soccer in summer.

Sid's was a full and exciting life.

He was very much loved and will be remembered always.
