Loving husband of 66 years to the late Elisabeth.

Beloved father to: Marion (Chester) and Dave (Sharon).

Cherished grandfather to: Eli (Jory), Matthew (Katherine), Daniel (Amanda), Anna (Ryan) and Laura (Alex).

Beloved great-grandfather to Austin, Owen and Hunter.

His strength and character will be missed by all. He will be fondly remembered by family and friends around the world as well as friends and staff at Moll Berczy Haus.

Abraham was born in Vienna, Austria. He fled Vienna shortly after the Nazi annexation of Austria in March 1938. He ended up in England and joined the British army; getting discharged in 1948. In late 1951 he met his future wife in England, getting married in January 1953, starting a family soon thereafter.

In 1957, with two children in tow, the family immigrated to Toronto, Canada.

Due to COVID restrictions, a funeral home Celebration of Life is on hold for now, to be held at a later date. Instead, the family is hosting an online “Zoom” Celebration of Life, to be held on Saturday, January 23, 2021, 12 noon EST. If you are interested in attending this Celebration of Life, please contact Anna Kloosterboer via email (This email address is being protected from spambots. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Canadian Diabetes Association or the charity of your choice.
