Susuki TamaSUZUKI, Tama   - "Great artists just paint away!" It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Tama Suzuki on January 3, 2021.

Tama was born March 23, 1925 in Vancouver, BC, the youngest of 4 siblings to the late Kinu and Paul Toshizo Suzuki.

Tama was predeceased by brothers George, Louis and sister, Mary Yamada Nishio.

Like most Japanese Canadians, the Suzuki family were interned, separated and re-located during the war years.

Tama with her sister, Mary, were sent east from Kazlo, BC by their father to Dundas.

She was a very independent, kind person who displayed a great sense of humour and had a positive outlook on life. Tama leaves nieces Heather Midori Yamada, Vicki Yamada Shefman, as well as great-nephews Joshua and Zachary Shefman. Tama will be greatly missed!

The family would like to thank the staff at the long term care home, Carefree Lodge, for the excellent care that she received while she resided there.

We would also like to thank the medical staff at Sunnybrook Hospital.
