MacKay KarenMacKAY, Karen Mabel (HOVEY)May 17, 1955 – January 11, 2021.

Resident of Stouffville Ontario, formerly of Ottawa, Ontario, passed away on Monday, January 11, 2021 at Hill House Hospice at the age of 65 years.

She will be sadly missed by: her devoted husband of 28 years, Ken MacKay, her son Adam (Mindy) Lefor, her step-sons; Matthew (Theresa) MacKay and Timothy (Katherine) MacKay, her beautiful grandchildren; Zoe Lefor, Fiana Lefor, Liara Lefor, Kelsey MacKay, Iain MacKay and Isla MacKay, her brothers; Richard (Angela) Hovey, Ron (Dawn) Hovey.

Her lifelong friends; Mary-Jean McKeever, Kathy Prozak, Terri Drover, and countless other cousins, nieces, nephews and friends.

She was predeceased by her parents; Viola Hovey (Long) and Harold Hovey, and her grandson, Deegan Lefor.

As these unprecedented times of Covid-19 restrict any appropriate funeral service, a memorial internment service will be held in the spring at her family cemetery, Merivale United Church cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, Donations can be made to; Hill House Hospice, 36 Wright St, Richmond Hill, ON L4C 4A1 or the charity of your choosing.

Karen has lived such an enormous life, the void left from her absence will be felt by any and everyone who she has touched. She was truly an incredibly special person whose life will be celebrated by everyone she has left behind.

Rest in peace, Karen Mabel MacKay (Hovey).
