Jackson Jesyca JakeyJACKSON, Jesyca Maud 'Jakey' (nee Tordoff) - On Monday, February 22, 2021 we lost an angel.

It is with profound sorrow that we announce the passing of our beloved Jesica Maud Jackson aka “Jakey” (nee Tordoff).

She was Born January 2nd, 1936 in England in the large historic town of Tynemouth. Jakey was a model, actress and entertainer. She accomplished a large portfolio in her years before being blessed with Tanya and Telina. Being a single mother she tackled the new adventure head on with style and fortitude.

She was an amazing mother and friend always a big smile she was full of life and a bit spicy too. Taking on the role of both mother and father she went from fixing cars to making furniture and making clothes there wasn’t anything she couldn’t tackle a “jack of all trades”! She was also an extraordinary baker and always had a delicious creation or amazing cake for every occasion.

Jakey loved to read, bake and enjoyed the quiet outdoors and also loved to travel and experienced many trips driving through the states on route 66 with her girls. She lived in many beautiful places in Ontario from Mimico to Elliot Lake and finally ended up in Thousand Islands Georgian bay for 12 years before moving back to the city for treatment.

Even in her last days when she was able to speak she still knew all her recipes by heart and would insist on making homemade pancakes and biscuits herself making a crazy mess but it was so satisfying to see her eat it.

She was a fighter and definitely didn’t give up but she lost her battle to lung cancer at Mount Sinai hospital in good care.

She is survived by her twin daughters Tanya and Telina Jackson, grandmother to Adam, Amber Coates and Darren Malden Jackson and great grandmother Talia Coates.

It was her wishes to be donated to science to help train future doctors and surgeons and may help find cures to a variety of diseases.

Jakey was a beautiful soul and she will be dearly missed.

Due to COVID19 pandemic restrictions, the funeral services will be private and by invitation only. Arrangements and livestreaming service information are entrusted with Scott Funeral Home – West Toronto Chapel, 1273 Weston Rd., Toronto.

In Memory of Jesyca the family would appreciate donations to the Canadian Cancer Society.
