Briggs ElaineBRIGGS, Uraline "Elaine" - Formerly of Brandons, St. Michael, Barbados, passed away peacefully in her sleep on March 4, 2021, in Toronto, Ontario, Canada, at the beautiful age of 98 years.

She was the adoring daughter of the late Reginal Hoyte and Lilian Briggs-Walcott.

Loving mother to Yvonne Boardman and predeceased by sons Riley, Errol and Oscar Briggs.

Devoted sister of Janice Yearwood and the late Fitz, Carson, Malcolm, Haldon and Norma Briggs, Victor Walcott and Enid, Eslin, Wilbert, Thilburt and Colvin Hoyte.

Nurturing grandmother to Sonja Applewhite, Michelle Briggs, David and Mark Boardman, Marina Grant, Mark Collymore, Peggy Wood, Carol Haynes, Jason Briggs and Dianne Briggs-McLeod.

Caring great-grandmother to Sharifa, Tessa and Michael Stoute, Michael and Tristan Briggs, Dwight, Tyrell and Preston Boardman, Jachera Briggs and Lana Wood-Thompson.

Supportive mother-in-law to Jane Briggs, John Boardman and the late Mavis Briggs.

Affectionate great-great-grandmother to Kondwani Stoute-Scott, Jahlani, Journey, Gelvani and Keilani Scott, Na'eema, Damari and Azai Barton, Mariah and Sebastian Boardman.

Thoughtful aunt to Heather and Norman Walcott, Elsa Gill, Joel Braithwaite, Charles Briggs, Carolyn Birkett, Patricia Bracey, Alfred Briggs, Carol Briggs, Marjorie Broome and others.

She was a devoted Christian and served her Lord and Saviour for many years at Immanuel Baptist Church.

She was a talented seamstress that had an eye for fashion and enjoyed making her own clothes. She took many under her wing and was always willing to lend a helping hand.

She always had a positive outlook on life and loved her friends and family. She loved, she laughed, she worked, she played, she danced, and she lived a full and wonderful life! We love you Granny Briggs, and we thank you for everything you have done for us.
