Senos ManuelSENOS, Manuel Olveira  - (November 9, 1926 - May 3, 2021) - It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Manuel, at the age of 94, on Monday, May 3, 2021.

Predeceased by his loving wife, Maria Leonor and sisters, Pautilia and Benvinda.

Manuel leaves behind sons, Joe and Rui (Denise), grandchildren, Paula, David, Jessica (Marcus), Tamara (Kyle), Kyle (Jocelyn), Matthew and Stephanie, and six great-grandchildren.

Loving brother to Ascensao and Joana (Artur), he also leaves behind many nieces and nephews.

Manuel had a full life and up until recently lived happily and independently at his retirement home at St. Mary's Residence, where he looked after the building and grounds throughout many of his retirement years.

His love for Canada began in the 50s when he worked as a Cook aboard fishing vessels that would come from Portugal to Nova Scotia, Newfoundland and Labrador.

His passion for the culinary arts continued throughout his life and his delicious recipes will be missed by many.

Following cremation, there will be a private service at St. Mary's Church in Brampton on Monday, May 10th, at 10 a.m. THe service will be livestreamed from the website of Ward funeral homes.

In line with his wishes, Manuel's final resting place will be his hometown of Ilhavo, Portugal, at a later date.

He will be dearly missed by many.

In lieu of flowers, a memorial donation to St. Mary's Parish in Brampton would be greatly appreciated.
