Moore ShirleyMOORE, Shirley Elizabeth - (1927 - 2021) - The family announces with great sadness that Shirley Moore passed away peacefully on May 31, 2021 at Mackenzie Health Nursing Home.

She was born in Copper Cliff, Ontario on May 17, 1927 to James and Dora (Cashmore) Hamilton.

Loving wife of many years to Ralph Moore (deceased). Loving Mother to Linda Kelly (Terry), Barb Barrowman (Jim), Judy Moore Vey (Fraser), Jeff Moore (Dorothy).

Very loving Grandma to Kevin Kelly (Bettina), Kirstin Legros, Brett Barrowman (Kendal), Ryan Barrowman (Peter), Andrew Vey, Graham Vey (Gracee), Kyle Moore (Erica), Eric Moore (Kristen). Very, very loving Great Grandmother to Ava, Bray, Jack, Josh, Jordan, Olivia, and Grace.

Survived by sister Audrey (Hamilton) Bell and Sister-in-law Joan Hamilton. Predeceased by James Hamilton, Allan Bell, Jim and Marion (Hamilton) Bonner.

Shirley was employed at North York Board of Education for thirty happy years.

Grew up and resided in Willowdale most of her life. Shirley and husband Ralph built a cottage on Sparrow Lake where many wonderful memories were created for family and friends.

Special thanks for the wonderful care by the guardian angels at Mackenzie Health Long Term Care. Approximately 30 staff members lined up to pay their final respects to Mom. This certainly was a wonderful tribute to Shirley.

Also, a special thanks to the staff at Canterbury Place Retirement Home for the care provided.

Due to the current pandemic and the restriction towards attendance, the memorial service will be held for immediate family only. Webcast and signup information will be offered via the website of Kane Jerrett funeral homes.
