DAmario ErcoleD'AMARIO, Ercole - Ercole D’Amario, 84, passed away June 14, 2021, with his family by his side in Woodbridge, Ontario.

He was born February 16, 1937, in Rocco San Giovanni, Abruzzo, Italy to Tommaso and Letizia D’Amario. His family immigrated to Canada in 1951 and settled in Toronto, Ontario.

Ercole was always a firm believer in family and hard work. He worked in construction until his retirement. He was a dedicated member of the Woodbridge Agricultural Society and Woodbridge Fair committee.

He was an active member of St. Peter’s Roman Catholic Church and enjoyed singing in the Sunday noon choir for many years.

His interests included his garden, especially his chili peppers and giant pumpkins. He enjoyed visits with family and friends over coffee and was always ready to lend a helping hand to anyone in need.

He is survived by his loving wife of 55 years, Vittoria, and sons, Tom (Peggy), Steve (Anna), Diego and Ercole Jr. (Lina). He will be missed by his 11 grandchildren, Alexander, Daniel (Amy), Matthew, Andrew, Adam, Joseph, Elena, Maria, Julianna, Anthony and John Paul, and very special great-granddaughter, Juliette.

He is also survived by his sisters Noreen Carella and Mafalda (Elio) Guglietti, and brothers Armando (Esterina) and Luciano, as well as many nieces and nephews.

He is preceded in death by his parents Tommaso and Letizia, in-laws Antonio and Angela Sisca, sister Linda Rotondo, and brothers in-law John Rotondo and Nick Carella.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be sent to Canadian Cancer Society.

There will be NO OPEN PUBLIC VISITATION. Visitation will be BY APPOINTMENT ONLY. The funeral mass will be celebrated on Thursday June 17th at 9:30 am from St. Peter's Roman Catholic Church, located at 100 Bainbridge Avenue. Livestream links are available on the website of Scott funeral homes, WOODBRIDGE chapel.

Entombment (livestreamed service) will follow at 10:45 am from Glendale Memorial Gardens.
