IOANNOU, Pantelis - It is with deep sorrow and much love that we mourn the passing of Pantelis, of Toronto on July 14, 2021 at the age of 93 years.
He was predeceased by his loving wife Antigoni (Modopoulos).
Pantelis will be lovingly remembered by his sisters Afroditi and husband George Jimas, Christina and her late husband Spiro Popovski, and his sister-in-laws Tassoula Toumbos and Soula and her late husband Kostas Modopoulos, as well as the many nieces, nephews, and numerous family members and friends.
Pantelis was born in Polyanemo Kastoria, Greece to parents John and Alexandra Ioannou. He moved to Canada in the 1960's with his wife where he resided in Toronto for the remainder of his life.
Pantelis was an active member of the Greek Canadian Seniors Club who also served as President for many years.
Peter was loved and respected by all those who came to know him. He will be sadly missed.
Visitation will be held at Heritage Funeral Centre, Toronto on Saturday, July 17, 2021. The service will take place at St. Demetrios Greek Orthodox Church, 30 Thorncliffe Park Drive , Toronto on Saturday, July 17, 2021 at 11:30AM. Interment to follow.
