WORDLEY, Nancy (Annie) - December 12, 1934 - November 27, 2021
Passed away peacefully in her 86th year, with her family by her side, after a long and courageous battle with cancer, at Hospice Peterborough, on Saturday, November 27, 2021.
Born in Edinburgh, Scotland, she immigrated to Canada over 60 years ago, settling in Toronto.
In 2004, she moved to Peterborough where she was able to enjoy her retirement years.
A wonderful and devoted mother who will be dearly missed by her children, Debbie Jane (Doug), James Wordley (Lorena) and Lesley Nixon (John).
Her grandchildren, Chris (Joanna), Michael, Kevin (Julia), Robert and Herlinda, held a special place in her heart, as did her two great-granddaughters, Amelia and Mackenna.
As a dear aunt to her nieces and nephews, she shared a very special bond with her niece, Denise.
Predeceased by her parents, Maisie and Robert Dishington, her two sisters, Margaret and Marion, and brother, Robert.
The family would like to extend a special thank you to Dr. Beamish and the amazing and caring staff of Hospice Peterborough and the Palliative Care staff at Peterborough Regional Health Centre.
As an expression of sympathy, donations to Hospice Peterborough, Peterborough Regional Health Centre or the Canadian Cancer Society would be appreciated. Cremation has taken place.
A private family service will be held on Friday, December 10, 2021, in Peterborough, Ontario.
