Ward BarbaraWARD, Barbara (nee BEIER)   -  Born April 29, 1952, passed away on Wednesday January 5, 2022 at the age of 69 in the comfort of her home, after bravely facing a sudden diagnosis of stage 4 cancer.

Born in Germany, she immigrated to Canada as a teenager along with parents Eric and Olga Beier, and sister Ursula, eventually settling in Limehouse Halton Hills, and later lived in Mississauga with her own family.

Barb went to Sheridan collage and worked as a legal secretary.

She was a very smart lady, never lost her ability to speak German, and could strike up a conversation about anything to anyone.

She loved Elvis, trivia, blue jeans, and carnations, because they lasted the longest.

She also thoroughly enjoyed the little things in life: a fresh cup of coffee, a new crossword or magazine, a puzzle, a good movie on TV.

She always tried to look at the bright side of things and remained unbelievably strong and steadfast even in the face of terminal illness.

Barbara is survived by her daughters Kelly Mossa (nee Ward) and Jennifer Ward who stood by her side every day, and their families. "Grandma Barb" was very proud of her grandsons Paul, Benjamin, and new baby Nicholas.

A celebration of life will follow in the spring. Barb always said she would want a party.

Bright clothing, good music, upbeat. She will be remembered and missed by many.
